Indicative market estimates
Gold Price in India — Indicative 24K & 22K Estimates
Compare indicative 24K gold per 10 grams, a purity-adjusted 22K estimate and silver per kg when a third-party market feed is available. These are modelled estimates, not executable jeweller prices or investment signals.
How we calculate gold price on this page
The feed first estimates an Indian per-gram value from international gold and silver futures converted at the USD/INR rate, using fixed adjustments for local costs. If that feed is unavailable, it estimates from NSE-listed Gold BeES and Silver BeES prices with separate fixed adjustments. Gold BeES is priced at approximately 0.01 gram of gold per unit; ETF market prices can diverge from bullion and jewellery prices. The displayed 22K figure is simply 91.6% of the modelled 24K figure, before any shop-specific charges.
Check the fund manager's Gold BeES unit description for the approximate unit size. Our estimate is a site calculation, not an official IBJA or exchange spot quote.
These fixed adjustments are approximations and may become stale. The feed check time is when our server requested data, not necessarily the last exchange trade. A jeweller quote also depends on purity, making charges, wastage, applicable GST and local margins. Compare the final payable amount directly with the seller before buying.
How to compare gold, silver and stocks
Gold, silver and equities carry different risks. Gold does not produce income, silver prices reflect both investment and industrial demand, and stocks can suffer prolonged losses. Compare each with your goal date, cash needs, existing holdings and ability to tolerate a fall in value. To see why a fixed percentage is not suitable for everyone, consider these situations:
- Money needed for a payment next year may require liquidity and lower volatility rather than a large gold or stock position.
- Money set aside for a distant goal can tolerate a different mix, but concentration in one asset still matters.
- If you already own jewellery or gold funds, include them when measuring your total gold exposure.

Ways to invest in gold in India (2026)
Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB)
Existing RBI-issued bonds pay the coupon set for their series and mature on its stated date. From tax year 2026–27, the maturity-redemption capital-gains exemption requires an individual to have subscribed at original issue and held continuously to maturity; exchange purchases do not meet that condition.
Gold ETFs (GOLDBEES)
Trade on an exchange like a stock. Check the current expense ratio, tracking difference, spread and scheme documents before comparing with physical gold.
Physical gold
Jewellery, coins and bars are tangible. Compare purity, making charges, tax, storage and resale terms.
Digital gold
App-based gold products vary by provider. Check custody, pricing spread, redemption terms and regulatory status before buying.
For the current SGB redemption rule, see the Income Tax Department's Budget 2026 FAQ. Tax treatment depends on how and when a bond was acquired and disposed of.

What is the gold price today in India per 10 grams?
When a third-party quote is available, StockAnalyzer AI shows an indicative 24K gold estimate per 10 grams in rupees. The estimate may use international futures and USD/INR or an exchange-traded fund as a fallback. It is not a jeweller quote.
Why do jewellery shop gold rates differ from online prices?
Jewellery prices include making charges, applicable GST and dealer margins. Market-derived estimates do not include the terms of a particular purchase.
What is the difference between 22K and 24K gold price?
24K gold is 99.9% pure. 22K gold used in most Indian jewellery is 91.6% pure, so 22K rate is approximately 91.6% of the 24K per-gram price.
